38. Let Others Talk for a Change

This is a bit of a play on words. Of course we want to let others talk. However, too often when we are in the midst of a change, we may find ourselves talking too much. If we want to create meaningful change, we need to let others talk. This opens up new ideas and perspectives. But it also increases alignment and ownership. When people are talking, ownership over the change and the results increase. If they feel they have been heard, they are more likely to support the efforts of the team.
