Every tree in the forest provides a unique benefit to the entire ecosystem. Some provide shelter, foliage, specific nutrients, etc. Determine what you are uniquely built for and what benefit you are providing to others in your ecosystem. Focus there; if you are a lush fern who keeps the soil moist and fertile, don’t let others condemn you for not being a towering oak. Even worse, don’t let others try to make you an entirely different kind of plant. Carl Jung said, “The world will ask who you are, and if you don’t know, the world will tell you.” I would add that, “If you let the world decide for you, you may not be happy with the answer.”
