Too often, we think our job is to talk, to share our thoughts, to direct, to convince, to cajole. We are better served when we get others talking. We become smarter by hearing what others think, how they think, what they see, and, ultimately, to learn what we don’t know. And they will find us imminently more interesting than if we were talking. Jimi Hendrix said, “Knowledge speaks; wisdom listens.”
